Well, we've made it. Another year is in the books, and that means it's time for everyone's favorite holiday tradition — my best albums of the year list!
I'm gonna be totally honest with y'all. I don't think that 2015 was a great one for new music. Sure, there were some standouts, but the number of albums that dug their claws in me and refused to let go was down a bit from previous years. Maybe that's a me problem, maybe it's a music problem, maybe the answer lies somewhere in the middle. I don't really know. BUT I DO KNOW that everything I've included here is good, and I will fight you if you disagree.

Note from the author: Live Volume 4, a new live album from The Avett Brothers, was released on December 18, which wasn't quite in time to make it on this list.
It's good though, so I'd recommend checking it out if you're so inclined.
